Ethic Standards

The Michael A. Pane Memorial fund was established to support the funding of educational courses and similar endeavors promoting ethics in local government. Named in honor of the memory of Michael A. Pane who personified and promoted integrity in local government, the Michael A. Pane Memorial Award honors a local government professional (attorney, engineer, or planner) who exemplifies the highest standards of ethics and whose work has significantly enhanced the integrity of local government.

2018 Nominees Sought

Nominations are requested by Sept. 15 for the 2018 Institute of Local Government Attorneys Michael A. Pane Memorial Award. The 16th annual award honoring a local government professional (attorney, engineer, or planner) who exemplified the highest standards of ethics and whose work has significantly enhanced the integrity of local government.The award will be presented on Nov. 15 at the NJLM Annual Conference in Atlantic City at the Institute of Local Government Attorneys programs. 

After receiving the award, the honoree will provide an article on the subject of ethics in government to be published by the League. Upon receipt of the essay, a $500 honorarium will be issued.
