DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of the seminar is to give the audience an overview of what is entailed in the grant development process.  It is a 101 seminar which will provide guidance on where to look for funding along with the basics of grant writing.  Our presenters will utilize a PowerPoint presentation to explain the various components of a successful grant application along with the process of developing a viable project.

The expected participant skill level is the beginner to intermediate grant writer.  The overall theme is that with municipal budgets getting tighter, it is imperative that departments hone their skills in finding grants and submitting successful proposals to fund their programs and initiatives.  This seminar will assist municipal agents in accomplishing that.

  2. Matching Projects with Available Sources of Funding
  3. Writing the Proposal
  4. Project Sustainability & Evaluation

30 Years of Excellence and Economic Development
Tammy Wetzel is a Senior Associate and grant specialist at Triad Associates.  Formerly the Empowerment Zone/Community Development Specialist at the New Jersey Department of Human Services, she was directly responsible for the creation of community directed service funding for all seven Divisions under DHS, along with grant development, compliance standards, structuring of program development teams, and program/service implementation. At Triad, Ms. Wetzel is applying her knowledge again as a Community Development Specialist directly responsible for the creation of state, federal, and private community development grant funding applications.  Ms. Wetzel also has extensive experience with Brownfields and specializes in human services projects and grant proposals.
