This week, President Joe Biden released the Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Proposal. This occurs even though only half of the Fiscal Year 2024 appropriations bills have been signed into law. It is expected that the remaining bills will be considered by Congress prior to the March 22 deadline.
The budget priorities include broad national issues, such as funding for border controls, reducing illegal immigration, countering illicit fentanyl, fighting corruption and increasing corporate transparency, addressing affordable housing, and lowering costs for Americans.
This blueprint will face scrutiny and change significantly as it works its way through the legislative process for enactment when the Federal Fiscal Year begins on October 1, 2024.
