[ARCHIVED] Congressional Portal Opens for Army Corps and Water Infrastructure Projects

The National League of Cities (NLC), the League’s federal partner, alerted us to the fact that the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee opened their internal Congressional portals to accept nominations/requests from Congressional members for Army Corps projects and/or water infrastructure projects. The parameters are slightly different for each committee:

House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee

  • Members of Congress cansubmitrequests on Army Corps projects/authorizationspertaining toflood control, navigation, and ecosystem restoration through the end of January.

Senate Environmental and Public Works Committee (no specific Water Resources Development Act page)

On EPA water infrastructure programs, the reauthorization process is beginning in the House and Senate, but only the Senate has an official portal open for Senator priorities.

We encourage you to review this information from NLC and reach out to your member of Congress if there is a specific request in your municipality.
