[ARCHIVED] Short Partial Federal Government Shutdown Likely to End

On Tuesday, the House passed all but the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations bills through the end of the federal fiscal year on September 30. This legislation funds the Departments of Labor, Treasury, Education, Health and Human Services, and State. President Trump signed the legislation on Tuesday. Funding for the Department of Homeland Security expires next Friday, February 13.

The Department of Homeland Security funds the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), TSA, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
