The application process for USDA Rural Development New Jersey Community Facilities Loan and Grant Program is open for public-body entities and nonprofits seeking financing to improve essential community facilities projects in rural areas. The deadline to apply is June 15.
Rural areas for this grant and loan application is defined as having a population less than 20,000 residents and meets other USDA parameters. It must also comply with the Rural Development priorities of addressing climate change and environmental justice; advancing racial justice, place-based equity, and opportunity; and creating more and better market opportunities.
The Community Facilities Loan and Grant Program helps rural communities to build, expand or improve facilities that provide health care, education, public safety, and public services. Funds may also be used to purchase equipment to provide essential community services.
