During this week’s Local Finance Board meeting, Acting Commissioner Jacquelyn Suarez noted that the April 30 deadline to file Financial Disclosure Statements has passed and the Division of Local Government Services (DLGS) will begin taking enforcement actions against delinquent filings.
Pursuant to the Local Government Ethics Law, N.J.S.A 40A:9-22.6.a, local government officers are required to file a financial disclosure statement (FDS) on or before April 30 of each year. The Local Finance Board has routinely checked that all FDS filings are complete during the application process.
