EPA Announces Recycling Grant Opportunities
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the availability of $100 million in grants for recycling infrastructure along with recycling education and outreach projects across the country.
EPA has published two Requests for Applications (RFAs) for new recycling infrastructure grants and education and outreach grants totaling $70 million.
Municipalities are eligible entities for both programs. If you are interested, please ensure you have valid SAM.gov and Grants.gov identification numbers. The new grant programs support improvements to local waste management systems and recycling education and outreach.

These webinars are free but require advanced registration.
The application deadline is January 16, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. for both programs. We encourage you to review the Consumer Recycling Education and Outreach (REO) Grant Program Request for Application (RFA) and the Solid Waste Infrastructure For Recycling (SWIFR) Grant Program for Political Subdivisions of States and Territories Request for Application (RFA) with your municipal professionals to determine if you wish to apply.
