First Mayors Housing Roundtable
Last Friday, approximately 30 Mayors met for the first Mayors Housing Roundtable. The League’s Mayors Housing Policy Committee, co-chaired by Past Presidents Mayor Janice Mironov of East Windsor and Mayor Colleen Mahr of Fanwood, has created a Mayors' Working Group to identify challenges and ideas of common interest and develop concrete constructive proposals for Legislative and Administrative consideration, especially in light of the upcoming 2025 Affordable Housing Fourth Round. As part of this important initiative, the Working Group has begun a series of roundtable discussions with Mayors and will convene next via Zoom in October.
We thank the Mayors and others who joined us for this lively and thought-provoking discussion. For more, please see the upcoming item in the November edition of New Jersey Municipalities Magazine.
