Governor Murphy Signs TTF Bill
Trust Fund (TTF) for five years. During the bill signing, Governor Murphy and his Chief of Staff Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti thanked League Past Presidents Woodbine Mayor William Pikolycky and Hope Mayor Tim McDonough along with the League for their assistance and efforts in advocating for the reauthorization of the TTF. Today’s bill signing was more than three months prior to the current authorization’s expiration.
The reauthorization of the TTF includes an annual increase of 1.9 cents per gallon of fuel over the next five years, introduces a new annual registration fee of $250 (increasing to $290 by 2028) for zero-emission vehicles registered in New Jersey, and delays the annual tax adjustment from October to January 1. ?
The TTF reauthorization provides approximately $10.37 billion in appropriations for the State’s Annual Transportation Capital Program from FY2025 to FY2029. Of that, an estimated $2.3 billion will be State aid for county and municipal transportation projects.
