Local Government Organizations Advocate for Title 35 Amendments

The announcement by NJ Advance Media that they are ending daily print publication of all of their newspapers in New Jersey creates an immediate crisis for local governments to comply with Title 35 of Revised Statutes.

Governor Signs Legislation to Stem SHBP Cash Flow Issue 

Governor Murphy signed S-3838/A-4999 on Thursday to manage an imminent Division of Pensions cash flow challenge. It included a Signing Statement that further solutions are necessary.

Assembly Select Committee on Ballot Design Holds Organizational Meeting

On Tuesday, the Assembly Select Committee on Ballot Design held its organizational meeting and heard from New Jersey county clerks and election officials as well as a national expert from the National Conference of State Legislators.

DEP Not Extending Comment Period for REAL Rule Proposal

The NJDEP has indicated that they have no intentions of meaningfully extending the public comment period for their REAL Rule proposal, despite such calls from various stakeholders, including the League.

NJLM Halls of Fame Open: Nominate Eligible Candidates Today

At the 109th Annual New Jersey League of Municipalities Conference officials from throughout New Jersey will honor the most recent inductees to the Mayors’ Hall of Fame and Elected Officials Hall of Fame during the Mayors' Lunch Briefing on November 19. 

The League established the Mayors’ Hall of Fame to recognize mayors who have served for over 10, 20, or 30 years and the Elected Officials’ Hall of Fame recognizes local municipal governing body members, active and retired, who have served for 20 or more years as a governing body member    

Know anyone (including yourself) eligible for either Hall of Fame? Send your nominations in today.

Online Housing Reservation System Closed

The deadline to reserve rooms using the League's online housing system is now closed. To reserve a hotel room for the Annual League Conference, please contact A.C. Central Reservations at 866-643-0044. When calling, please specify that you are a League Conference delegate.

Room Cancellations

Cancellations must be made in writing to Email: service@acrooms.com, on or before November 7. No refunds or credits will be issued for any cancellations or changes made after November 7. Cancellations by phone will not be accepted.
