Adopt Resolution Supporting Local Land Use Authority  

The Senate Community and Urban Affairs Committee advanced SCS-1408, which authorizes the conversion of certain office parks and retail centers to mixed-use developments. Please adopt the sample resolution affirming support for local land use decisions.

Federal Grants - DOJ Grants Cancelled & DOT Grant Reminder 

Last week, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) announced the cancellation of multiple federal grant programs. In addition, U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) issued a reminder that all recipients of federal transportation grants must comply with federal laws.

Waters of the U.S. Listening Session for Local Government

Grant Opportunity: School Violence Prevention Program 

The U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office)  has announced $73 million in funding for the School Violence Prevention Program (SVPP) Grant for FY25.
