Technology Management Support Service
Overview
Technology now infuses most areas of municipal government. However, Government technology is constantly evolving and can be complicated to navigate on your own.
Partnership
The League has partnered with NJ-GMIS to serve as its Technology Management Support Service. An association of government technology managers, NJ-GMIS regularly works with the League assisting with seminars and sessions at the Annual Conference and throughout the year.
Answering Questions
NJ-GMIS members are available to answer informal questions from League members on managing technology. As a membership-based organization, they are not in a position to provide on-site consulting services, but will communicate via email or phone. They can also refer you to products and services they use to meet their technology challenges.
If you have a question or are looking for information on a technology issue, you can email NJ-GMIS or call them at 732-734-1805. The NJGMIS website also has information from their annual Technology Education Conference (TEC) and other technology information.
New Jersey Chapter of GMIS
NJ-GMIS is the New Jersey chapter of GMIS International, an Association of Technology Leaders. The association is made up of local government technology managers from all over the country, who network with each other to help solve technical and management issues. If your organization wants to join GMIS, membership information is available on the NJGMIS website.
Technology Conference
NJ-GMIS holds an annual Technology Education Conference.
