The National Endowment for the Arts is offering the “Celebrating America250: Arts Projects Honoring the National Garden of American Heroes” Grant, a funding opportunity for creative projects that highlight the contributions of national heroes. The grants provide $25,000 to support arts projects in various disciplines, including visual arts, theater, music, literature, and museum exhibitions. The goal is to celebrate individuals who have shaped American history and are tagged for inclusion in the National Garden of American Heroes as recognized in section 3 (b) of Executive Order 13978 of January 18, 2021.
Eligible applicants include municipal governments, nonprofits, educational institutions, and schools. Interested applicants must have at least 5 years of experience in arts programming.
Total grant funding expected to be awarded is approximately $500,000. Applicants may request $25,000 with no cost sharing. Please note that funding is not available for individuals, applications submitted by a fiscal sponsor, or commercial/for-profit enterprises.
