The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) has announced the FY25 Emergency Planning for Juvenile Justice Residential Facilities grant program. This initiative supports municipal, county, Tribal, and state agencies in developing and improving emergency response plans for juvenile justice residential sites.
The grant aims to ensure that facilities are equipped to safeguard youth and staff during emergencies such as natural disasters, public health crises, or security threats. Eligible applicants include local governments that operate juvenile justice facilities, and funding may be used for planning, training, equipment acquisition, and coordination with emergency management partners.
We encourage municipalities to apply before the deadline of October 27. Please visit the OJJDP website to learn more about its programs, initiatives, and application processes.
