The Stevens Institute of Technology is hosting an event on September 12 at 9:30 a.m. to showcase their expertise in flood prediction and coastal resilience, in particular the Stevens Flood Advisory System.
The Stevens Flood Advisory System is a system used to predict coastal and inland flooding from storm surge and extreme weather events. Over 1,400 users from New Jersey and New York subscribe to reactive daily reports from the system, including the US Coast Guard, City of Hoboken, and others.
The in-person event will be held at the University Center Complex Tech Flex Center at the Stevens Institute of Technology, in Hoboken from 9:30 a.m. to noon, September 12. The event is free but advance registration is required.
