The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) has announced several new grant opportunities.
CNCS is the independent federal agency dedicated to improving lives, strengthening communities, and fostering civic participation through service and volunteering. Through AmeriCorps, Senior Corps, and other programs, CNCS engages millions of Americans in tackling locally-defined challenges in the focus areas of disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, and veterans and military families.
Financial assistance to programs that recruit, train, and supervise AmeriCorps members that tackle critical community needs in the areas of education, disaster services, health, environmental stewardship, economic opportunity, and veterans and military families.

AmeriCorps NCCC engages teams of AmeriCorps members in communities across the United States. NCCC service projects, which typically last from six to eight weeks, address critical needs related to natural disasters, infrastructure improvements, environmental stewardship and conservation, energy conservation, and urban and rural development. Teams can also mentor students, construct and rehabilitate low-income housing, respond to natural disasters, clean up streams, help communities develop emergency plans, and more.
