The Murphy Administration announced that Green Acres grants and loans will be available to local governments and nonprofits in 2025 for developing or updating parks and preserving open spaces. The initiative focuses on inclusive playgrounds and lowers loan interest rates to 0% for eligible projects. The application deadline is February 5, 2025. Grants are also available for stressed urban communities.
This program aims to improve recreational facilities, support environmental justice, and enhance the quality of life in New Jersey.
